try running aspnet_regiis.exe -i
this will link ASP .Net back to IIS.

Hi,What version of IIS are you using.I have heard of this problem which had beta version of ASP.NET 2.Is MS CRM running without problems? May I ask what made you go to the ASP.NET tab of the Ms CRM website in the first place becasue the MS CRM website configures itself automatically.Hassan.

It sounds like something went wrong during the install. You can try this solution but I can't say that CRM will work as expected. I would not expect to see this behavior in a successful installation.

You might try to do a repair install on CRM.
If this does not sort you out then re-install IIS maybe
