Inserting a Custom Scanned image into Word>

  With Word 2000 I could directly insert an image from my scanner. I updated my computer to Windows 7 (64-bit) with Microsoft Office 2007 but I found I could no longer scan a document directly into this program, so I tried Office 2010 with the same result.  Can anyone tell me if it is possible to install Word 2000 onto Windows 7 (64-bit) OS?
