CRM2011 Outlook search bar wont search for fax

Question
-
I've found an odd problem in CRM2011 Outlook client in Office 2010. It appears to not like searching for terms that contain the letters 'fax'. For example I can search for 'Halifa' or 'Fairfa' but as soon as I put in 'Halifax' or 'Fairfax' I get all records returned.
It doesn't matter where the 'fax' is located in the search term, it simply returns all records.
Has anyone else found this issue or know if there is a fix for it?

Hi Adrian,
Looks like the issue you are experiencing and more variances have been logged with Microsoft. See this thread http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en/crm/thread/211fb758-9ae6-4743-a1d6-38808178478a
and they are suggesting its gonna be fix in RU9 but that's not until mid to late 2012.

Hi,
That is really very strange. Fascinated by your problem I tried searching online the above problem, but couldn't find any lead.
May be try closing your outlook, deleting outlook.exe in your task manager>processes (if it still exists). Start your outlook and try searching.

Thanks for the reply. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what Microsoft releases!
We've got lots of oddities with Outlook client, I just can't believe how they've got it so badly wrong from a UX perspective!
