SyncToy hangs if network connection breaks

  I use SyncToy to synchronize certain folders between a laptop and desktop over a peer to peer network.  If the network connection gets broken SyncToy hangs and will not recover.  The stop button does not work.  The window close button does not work.  Right click on the taskbar to select window close does not work.

  Even Ctrl-Alt-Del to bring up task manager and end task does not work (it remvoes it from the running software but it stays in the running processes list so a new instance can't be started).

  The only option is to shut down and reboot.  Somebody need to look at trapping the error when a connection is lost so that the user can choose to repair the connection and continue from that point or decide to shut down syncToy and go back to it later.
