email notification when your questions are answered RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • When I post a question on the developer network forum, I can't find a way to set it so I get an email notifying me if someone provides an answer, which would be really helpful.

  • Hello,

When you ask a question, there is a check box titled "Alert me when someone responds to this post."

If that's checked, and you have a valid email address in your profile, you should get notifications when someone responds, when someone marks a proposed answer, and when someone marks an answer.

However, this forum is for discussions and questions regarding profiles and Microsoft's recognition system on the MSDN and TechNet sites.

As it's off-topic here, I am moving the question to the Forums Issues (not product support) forum.

  • Just to add to this, you can set your notification email address by clicking on 'Quick Settings' (appears under the 'Ask a question' button in the upper left) and choosing 'My settings'. You'll see a 'Configure alerts' section there.
