Office Key Validation issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I recently bought the Microsoft Office 2007, and I attempted to enter the product key when I opened Excel, however I was told the product key was invalid.  I typed the product key exactly as is.  I am in the navy, trying to do some college, and am on a tight schedule, I would appreciate some help.

  • Hello Sailor,

Where did you purchase Microsoft Office from? Next please tell me the exact messaging you receive when attempting to open Excell? Please provide me with the last 15 digits of your product key code. Have you previously activated Microsoft Office 2007 or is this a recent purchase and are attempting to activate for your first time.

Also please provide us with the MGA Diagnostic results by posting back here in this thread. We really need this information ASAP in order to provide you with a reslution. The Diag results allows us to see what you are currently experiencing.

    Thank you for your service.

  • Please follow this simple troubleshooting procedure:

    1. Download and run the MGA Diagnostic Tool: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012

    2. After running the MGA Diagnostic Tool, click on the "Windows" tab and then click on "Copy".

    3. Next, visit the following website and create a post in the "WGA Validation Problems" forum and paste the results of the WGA Diagnostic Data in a detailed post. http://forums.microsoft.com/Genuine/default.aspx?SiteID=25

    4. A WGA troubleshooting specialist will analyze the data and recommend an appropriate solution.
