Office 2008: Mac from old computer to new. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I recently tried to launch Excel on my new Mac.  I saw the Excel icon on the new computer and clicked on it, and it asked me to register my product.  Since years ago I had bought the Office suite and installed it on my Mac, I thought it would be a simple matter, and entered the product/serial number for what I'd bought.

However, the online setup wizard says it does not know of any such number.  So, how do I go about getting the program that is on my older Mac onto this new Mac in this situation? Btw, the original discs are stored overseas in my office overseas.  Sigh.

Help is appreciated!!  Thanks in advance.
