Internet explorer 8 browser is crashing on fdcc while installing windows hook RRS feed

    Internet explorer 8 browser is crashing for me on FDCC(Federal Desktop Core Configuration) windows 7 machine  while i try to use the windows hook using SetWindowsHookEx api. Crash doesn't happen if the browser page is static. If the browser is connected to internet while installing this hook browser crashes. Please provide some pointers what may be going wrong.
