    Unfortunately, Acronis seems to be the one at fault here (many of the threads mention them) – whether they’ve sorted out the problem in a later version or update, I don’t know.
    I do know that there appears to be a problem with the hard drive ID – but I don’t have access to the data that may help lead to a fix/solution for those with the problem, and unless someone is kind enough to donate a copy of Acronis for me to play with, I don’t see me getting it.

    Have you recently restored your system from a backup, or used disk cloning software to move to a new Hard Drive?

  • I just used  the Clone Software from Western Digital Website.  Earlier I used some software from Acronis directly.   Both of them have the same result... I cannot validate Windows using a clone.  What a pain.  Wish I knew a Clone SW that worked.
