This two access right are bind together!
Can i allow the export and stop showing the Excel Export Button in Grid View?

Hi,
Did you try to take out the Export option from the Security Role. The Export option is under Business Management tab for each security role.
I hope this helps.

Sebastian - are you using CRM on-premise? - if so, you are correct that removing the export to excel permission removes the button from both the grid view/advanced find - and from the report viewer.
If you are able to view the reports via SRS by setting the report to 'publish for external use' and then accessing it via the Sql Reporting services web viewer - (e.g. http://MYSQLSERVER/Reports ) then users would be able to run the reports essentiallly outside of CRM and have the ability to export to Excel.
If you're running CRM online, you won't have this option and if your crm is hosted by a partner, you may or may not have the ability to run a CRM report outside the CRM environment/CRM report viewer.
Hope that helps.

Hello,
if i set it to no Export then the user can´t export in the report window.
But this would be ok. I want that users export from the report window!
Cause there are only a controlled sum of records affected and only one table.
With the Excel Button the user can export everything in all tables.
Thanks

I don't think the security permission will affect the export in SRS. Anyway, I am gladded it's OK. :)

Hello,
i try with a test role and there is no export function if the report in crm is ready.
If the export to excel right is on there is the export funktion...
Can i give the right to export and take away the excel button in grid view?
SRS?
Is this the server that a user can call and then comes a webseit with all reports... i see this in screenshots... but not live...

Hello,
yes it is on premise.
I read now the SRS Stuff and want to try this.
But the reports in CRM have a very cool feature: The can be used in different context.
So the user can control the number of records they are affected.
This is very helpful for adresslists for different postal mailing partners.
It seems that this is not possible with the SRS.
To understand: Export a adress list is ok. So a Export Button in Contacts/Account Grid View is ok.
But the possibility to export details from the contacts and accounts like what products, sales, orders and some coustom data is critical. But users have to work with the records...
Thanks for answers!
