Here is the MGA Diag report. Issue is on one of my clients workstation. Wanted to know if there was any way to fix this without a re-installation of the OS.

You have an invalid copy of Windows 7 Professional.
Windows Product ID Type: 2
Windows License Type: OEM SLPOEM SLP means factory installed. It is not possible to purchase this copy of Windows from any source. It uses a BIOS flag for self-activation.
SLIC DELL B9K
The problem is that Windows 7 was not released to manufacturers until July 24, 2009. You computer was built on Oct. 2, 2007, two years before
<Date>20071002000000.000000+000</Date>
Obviously, this copy of Windows 7 did not ship from the factory on this computer but was copied from a much newer computer and the self-activation was faked with an activation exploit called a loader. This copy of Windows will never activate. You need to restore the original copy of Windows that shipped with this Dell or purchase a full licensed retail copy of Windows 7.

Thank you for the info. It had come with XP. I have no idea how Win 7 was installed on it, whoever did that. Will re-install windows 7 with a licensed copy. Thank you very much once again.

You're welcome. Be careful where you buy Windows. There are an unbelievable number of authentic looking counterfeits on eBay and similar sites. Stick to the Microsoft Store or Amazon Corp (but stay away from the Amazon Marketplace sellers). Take a look at

Please post your problem in a NEW post of your own.Note, however that Windows 7 Starter can only be installed on ONE machine at a time – installing on second or subsequent machines will invalidate earlier installs, and is a breach of the licensing terms.
