Microsoft® Silverlight™ is a cross-browser, cross-platform plug-in for delivering the next generation of .NET based media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web. Silverlight offers a flexible programming model that supports AJAX, VB, C#, Python, and Ruby, and integrates with existing Web applications. Silverlight supports fast, cost-effective delivery of high-quality video to all major browsers running on the Mac OS or Windows.
Silverlight provides a retained mode graphics system, similar to WPF and integrates multimedia, graphics, animations and interactivity into a single runtime. It is being designed to work in concert with XAML and is scriptable with Javascript.XAML can be used for marking up the vector graphics and animations.Monday, September 10, 2007 7:46 PM -

Hi
Yes preetan is right......in simple terms ..it is similat to adobe flashplayer. Microsoft want to capture the plugins technology dominated by Adobe. If the silverlight is installed on the computer, you will see a file name starting with name " Ag " in the plugins list of the internet explorer options.
Microsoft has selected the name of the file as " Ag " because remember in chemistry the element code for silver is " Ag " and Microsoft silver want to utilize this chemistry.

Thanks...
I know just enough to get in trouble. Silverlight downlouded automaticly, now, here is my question? What in heavens name could be running to cause constant script errors on all kinds of pages, games, news media, shopping on private sites, just everwhere. I am running Java and adobe, all of the apps. Do I not need one of them with Silver. Or should I just dump Silver?
All help greatly appreciated,
EX CSR... Cheryl
