Problem with Network RRS feed

    Hi I have a pc running win 7, and Laptop running win Vista also i have a WD TV live Media device.

    On the Home network the pc is connected to Wireless modem router thru a network cable and the laptop is connected to the router modem wireless. The WD TV live media located in another room.

    On the network and sharing centre appears my PC and the laptop with the names e.g  JOHN- LAPTOP  and the PC KATHY-PC and the WDTVLIVE  and the  Network Infrastucture(1) netgear DG834 Router

    Now my problem is on the Media Devices (2) appears 2 more devices with names KATHY-PC:Owner  and the JOHN-LAPTOP:Owner. How can I remove those extra devices from my network as my  WDTV Live picks the additional media devices and get confused. I,M desparate to remove them any assistance will be very much appreciated

    Hi Sakarelos,

    This forum is for raising and answering questions related to SharePoint version prior to 2010.  You may get better responses by finding a more suitable forum on home network and/or Windows 7 clients.  I suspect your issue will be resolved by disabling media sharing but I would urge you to find a more suitable place to seek your answers.  Good luck.
