Connector won't re-launch when running Remove Drive Wizard RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello : I was wondering of anyone had seen this issue.   Using RDC to connect to my WHS server from my Windows 7 box, I started the Drive Removal Wizard and then closed the RDC window.  About an hour later I got into the WHS Server through RDC and double clicked on the Connector icon on my desktop.   I get an alert that says the backup service is not running ( I would expect this since I'm removing a drive)  and then the connector software opens for about 2 seconds and closes.   if I launcg the connector software from my Windows 7 box it thinks for about 20 seconds and then says that its lost connection with the server.

My issue here is that if I can't launch connector, I cannot tell when the drive has been removed as this can take up to 24 hours.   Any thoughts on how to get connector running without horking my machine?
