"Printers and Faxes" Share RRS feed

    What happened to the \\server\Printers and Faxes share? I constantly use this entry point to install printers locally to my print server at work without having to bring up a server console and I'd like to use the same procedure to install printers on WHS. Also there is less likelyhood of messing up anything other than the printing subsystem with my method.

    I think you'll find it in the "Shared Folders On Server" folder that's placed on your desktop when you install the WHS Connector. At least it's there on my client PCs. And it should be exposed on the server at the UNC path you gave.

    It was just a permissions issue. I accidentally attempted to connect using an account that didn't exist on the server. Previous OSs would have given me an access denied message (or the chance to provide alternate credentials) but server 2003 SP2 hides the resources that a user doesn't have access to and I was getting a message that it didn't exist.
