Multiple WHS boxes in one network? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've got a test machine running an evaluation Windows Home Server and I liked it enough that I ordered an HP EX495.  I'd like to keep the evaluation box running temporarily while I torture test it by pulling drives and other disaster scenarios.  Are multiple WHS boxes supported on one network?  How do I switch between two different servers on the WHS console?

    Yes.

Each client can only be joined to one server at a time.  You would have to run C:\Program Files\Windows Home Server\discovery.exe to move a client from one server to the other.
