  • Question

  • OkayI recently updated my BIOS software with this:

    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&softwareitem=pv-86212-1

Now henI start my computer, it takes me to safe mode and tells me Windows needs to go online to find a solution. When It does, it goes online ask asks me to click a button that says Validate Now. I click it it downloads the program legitcheck.hta. Ti will open a new window for about two seconds then it will give up and say it was unable to validate and tell me to either buy windows 7 or troubleshoot to report piracy.

I can make the computer run in regular mode okay ( but  have to force it to do so by holding f8 down while it boots) but it didn't like me downloading the diagostic software required for getting help, calling it an unauthorized change.
