Windows 7 Build 7600, This copy is not genuine. How to solve this error? RRS feed

  • I purchased a copy of Windows 7 from my university technology dept. and it was working fine.  However, about 3 days ago I got a message on the lower right hand corner of my screen saying that my copy of Windows 7 is not genuine.   Please help! I don't know what should I do to solve this error.

    You need to contact the Uni techs and see what the arrangements are for your license – it appears that you are using the default Volume license Key, which is a KMS key which has to be activated against the University’s own servers. If you got  your own Key with the disk, use the Change Product Key link at the bottom of the System Properties page to change the Key to that one, and activate.
