What about Moderator points

Question

Hello!
Moderator tasks sometimes become very expensives and time wasting.
I think give points for moderator activities could be a great idea.
what you think?

I think non-MS Moderators have their statuses on a volunteer basis. So, in my opinion these activities should not be rewarded with points even if they are time consuming.

Yes I'm moderator and answerer as a voluntary in my both profiles: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/es-ES/browseusers?userName=Juan%20Carlos%20Ruiz*
And yes, I'm a voluntary contributor, but I see moderator activities are sometimes more expensives and time wasting than answerer activities are.
I like the points/medals compensation system, and I think have a recongnizement for moderator activities should be cool...
sure no money because those activities are as a volunteer, but point or medals are cost free and make me feel better.
(sure for some people points/medals are not neccesary because ABCD etc... but thats not my point, I like points and medals ;) )

I don't know exactly how. Here [ in spanish msdn forums ] no ms moderators exist for a while, so ms ask to answerers [ not only marked as answeres, all people who answer questions ] for help moderating forums... then ms ask to MVPs to help to moderate forums.. that's our history, but I don't know how is in msdn english forums... ask to moderators or in support forums.

While it's true that maybe 90% of my forum time is spent on Moderating and so only 10% of my time could generate points, I see no point in giving points for Moderator activities because points are in any case a complete waste of time as having more or less points makes *absolutely no difference* to anything.
Well they give you an extra "medal" below your name but I had five medals long ago and as no-one has six even that "reason" vanishes. It's a poor reason for points in any case.
No. If someone is stupid enough to do unpaid moderation then let them - giving them something that is worthless for doing so, is pointless. (Oops. Did I really write "pointless"?)
