back up doesnt work even to exterior hard drive

Is it maybe that windows live was designed for Vista? Since you did an overnight upgrade to the program a few weeks ago now I cant even budge backup to open I always have a yellow circle.Is the new version now for xp users as well other wise I might have to find a new program,I dont feel covered by this one totally for the money .

You may want to consider reinstalling OneCare, since you haven't really provided much to go by as to what the problem is. It seems like you cannot perform a backup, but all else may be working.

Its possible that your external drive is being detected as a local disk, whats the error message when you do backup?
