Contact Owner Not available for updating in a workflow RRS feed

  • I've created an on-demand workflow - if contacts owner does not equal the parent account owner - update contact owner to account owner. However in the update record step the contact owner field is grayed out. I know that on-demand workflows use the security rights of the workflow owner so this shouldnt be the issue as I have rights to change contact ownership. There are no scripts running on contact owner and the field is not listed as read only.

    if you want to change the owner, then use assign function, not update.
