VBS script to copy folders is very slow at PC startup RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a simple VBS script which copies a folder and its contents from a network share to a PC. It is applied via a GPO to run at PC startup. If i run this script from the desktop manually it only takes around 5 mins to copy the data to the C drive, if i let it run on PC startup it is much slower (takes around 30 mins). The folder is approx 1.2Gb in size

Any ideas as to why its slower when running as a GPO on PC startup?
