Error 0x0000007B met when install windows 2003 server RRS feed

  • I am using a Dell Precision 390 Tower computer and installing Home server on a Western Digital 1 TB Green drive (wdc wd10eads-00l5b1) and I get the Error 0x0000007B. Serching on the net it is metioned that I need the drives INF file and select adding storage controller drivers. Where do I get the INF file??

    You need the driver for your SATA port that the drive is connected to.  (WHS doesn't have SATA drivers built-in.)  Try the Dell site.

  • You should also be able to change the mode of your SATA controller in Bios to IDE (PATA/ATA) compatibility. This would circumvent the need to provide SATA drivers, one time even per floppy.
