Automatically backup with External Backup RRS feed

    Hello,

    I have an external hard drive attached which I use for externally backing up the shared folders. How do I configure it so it will backup automatically? (i.e. once a week) I can't see any settings changable from the console.

    There is no way to run a backup of your shares automatically through the console. The Windows Home Server server backup tool is designed to allow you to easily back up your shares when you choose (and to do so in a storage-efficient manner, because it uses hard links for files that haven't changed), but can't be scheduled.

    What I do is use robocopy, in a scheduled task. (I also rotate drives off-site weekly.)
    I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
