WHS Reinstall Guide?

Question
-
Can someone point me in the right direction to do a WHS reinstall? I'm wondering what I stand to loose? Doing my reinstall over the existing WHS drive to try to resolve my Remote Access issues.Sunday, July 18, 2010 5:48 PM

Search is your friend in this case, Ron. This is pretty well documented here and elsewhere on the net. (It's also mentioned in the console help file, as a top-level topic named "Windows Home Server Reinstallation.") You lose anything on the system partition (add-ins, users, joined computers, software and customizations installed outside the console, etc.). If an add-in stores data outside of server storage, you lose those customizations.
You don't lose anything in your shares, your backup database, or anything else in server storage.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)- Edited by Ken WarrenModerator Sunday, July 18, 2010 8:17 PM more info

Thank You Ken. I should have mentioned that I did search and as you are well aware there is a very significant number of responses. I'll admit that I did not take time to wade through the search results. I took a slightly shorter route and asked for a pointer.I do appreciate the reply, and as always your very helpful guidance. Hopefully I can get my WHS back on track and soon this episode will be all behind me.

Just a quick one. On reinstalling WHS I cannot press F6 to load my SATA drivers?
Is there something obvious I am missing?
I have tried a number of keyboards to no avail.......Tuesday, July 27, 2010 2:06 PM
