Combining two accounts RRS feed

  • Question

  • Need to combine transactions from two accounts into one account. Can this be done easily rather than re-key all transactions?

  • If you right click on a transaction, one of the options should be to move it to another account (you get to select which one).  Unfortunately, you need to each transaction individually.

Thanks. Will try it out - still easier than re-typing all the details!

  • I am presuming this is not an investment account.

An alternative, if you have no or few transfers, is to export the defunct account to a Loose QIF file, and then import that into the surviving account as a recovered account. If there are transfers, you will have to address them manually.

Then delete the defunct account. Work with a copy of your file in case you want to undo something.

There were few transactions but with transfers. Ended up manually transferring the items!
