Windows Defender crashes on Windows 7

    Question

  • Accessed Windows Defender from Control Panel.

    Screen message : "Your computer has not been scanned in several days -------

    Clicked on Quick Scan option and Scan started.

    After 4 minutes of scanning Quick Scan stops and the same screen message comes up.

    Is there a problem with Windows defender as this issue occurs every time I try to run the programme?
