CPU spikes by session_id

Question
-
Hi!
We have a process that logs active sessions (sys.dm_exec_connections) and cpu_time (sys.dm_exec_sessions and sys.dm_exec_requests) when CPU spikes. Which value is more likely to indicate a contributor to CPU spikes; high sys.dm_exec_sessions .cpu_time or high sys.dm_exec_requests.cpu_time?
Thanks
