  You will need to upgrade to version 4. Once this is done you can certainly import it into 2011 on premise, through the deployment manager. I imagine you could also install it online through Microsoft.

  I am really looking to migrate CRM v3 On Premise to CRM 2011 Online.

  If final destination is CRM 2011 Online then all the steps Leon outlined then via a solution and data process import to bring them over to CRM Online.  There is no organization redeployment support for CRM Online at this time.

  There is no direct path to go from v3 to 2011. You will need to upgrade to 4 first.
