CXP 4.0 Capabilities Error on compile RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear Jason,

I finally downloaded CXP 4.0's source code and tried to compile, but I am getting an error for the Capabilities solution.  In the SharedBrowser capability, I get:

"Error 1:  No overload for 'FileDownload' matches delegate 'SHDocVw.DWebBrowserEvents2_FileDownloadEventHandler' "

which corresponds to line 161 of SharedBrowserCapability.cs.

I double checked the error, and there is only one FileDownload method, and it takes on two parameters.  It's been awhile since I've looked this up in C#, but for something to be passed in as a parameter to a handle delegate, it can't take on any parameters, right?  I could be wrong, though.

    Thanks a lot,
    Adam

  • Hey Adam,

IE broke their compatibility between IE6 and IE7.  Not CXP's fault, but CXP's problem.  So, IE7 is now required.

  • Dear Jason,

That makes sense -- my development machine with VS2005 is the one machine I haven't upgraded to IE7 on yet.  Thanks for the heads up!

    Have a great day,
    Adam
