Course 10174A lab files or VMWare

Question

Hi,
I took the Administration two courses for sharepoint 2010 and I have a copy for there VMs.But I didn't take a copy of the lab files alone which I wish I did.Since I'm using VMWare I realy couldn't add the courses VMs to my VMWare WorkStation. Also I tried to add the all files one since I expected that it has the lab files alone which the only thing I need but it didn't work as I expected it appears as SCSI something like that and it never appear as a drive in my VM Windows 2008 R2.
Do anyone know how to get these lab files whatever from the VMs or alone for a download website since I'm preparing for the exam these days...

Hi,
As I understood properly, you have had an issue to attach VM guest to your VM workstation?
Each VM client has .vmx file attached emulating HDD. What you can do is:
open settings on your current, working VM, go to add HDD; instead of add new, go to open, point to the .vmx of the unopenable VM. Boot your current VM, go to Computer Managment and attach the driver or if it is not required, open by Windows Exploler, point to the folder location and copy across to any place you want.

Bart Kurowski IT Desktop Support Analyst, MCP, MCTS, MCITP, MCASThank you fo ryour reply. These are the same steps I used but it appears as SCSI at the buttom of the running VM window and it doesn't appear in Computer management or in Windows Explorer at all.
The course VMs has a specific setup for Hyper-V.I just assumed that the All-Files one is the one that contains the lab files. If you or any other friend took the course as I did he could know what are the VMS I'm talking about...

I found a query which should do the same as DefragIndexes.sql on the internet but I think it would be better if I find the other lab files...

With regards to the lab files, if you did the course, you would have been provided with the files with your student documentation.

The biggest problem you will have in attempting to work through these issues is the base images the course uses. The VMs are built around differencing drives.
Just out of curiosity, how did you acquire the VMs?

Our trainer let us copy all the course VMs files but they require Hyper-V instead of the VMWare I have.So I will ask him to bring me the lab files if he still work as a trainer there and I hope he will not refuse even he is a very busy man.

There's actually 41 files so you didn't download them all.

I think the links are for Microsoft VM and not the course VMs.i Think they are far away different Jeff because I'm using that VM already but the course VMs were too different. However I couldn't get the files because I couldn't call my trainer any more his mobile do not answer may be he is busy or changed his mobile number?!.
However I'm concetrating on other SharePoint development subjects these days which are more relative to my job roles.About SharePiont 2010 MCITP certificate I'm planing to take it but it seems it is not easy to find a good course or practical resources for it in detail and I don't like to take an exam until I understand all its subjects very well.
