During setup I made a mistake at typing in the password hint.
Can I correct this and how?

Thanks, but it is more simple.
Go in console, choose passwords, choose change serverpassword.
Then you can enter a new password and a new hint.
I entered a new hint (so the correction) and entered my original password.
Ready!

logon to you homeserver desktop (or remote desktop), Start, Run, type regedit and Hit Enter. This will open the registry editor. Now navigate to key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Home Server\install, edit subkey PassWordHint. Please note this is not supported, if you make any errors you risk messing up your server.

Sure. Question was to change only the password hint, thought you wanted to keep same pwd.
