CRM 3.0 client for outlook problems RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I'm having trouble with CRM 3.0 client for outlook.

    1- Slow performance

    2- CRM toolbar buttons not working

    How can i solve them.

    I found a ms article saying i should install the update rollup 2 but i have already installed the update rollup 3.

    Any other idea?

  • Ensure you have all the latest Microsoft Office and Operating System updates on the computer.  Select Custom from the download option rather than Express to ensure you get all updates. 

     

    Also, if the user has a lot of e-mails or other items in their outlook, clean them out.  As the pst or ost file grows, Outlook slows.  Check for other Outlook add-ins that might be causing issues like ITunes, Adobe, etc.  I have seen this cause slowing issues for Outlook.

     

    Check the users Event Viewer for errors to see if you can identify and potential issues

     

    Here are some steps to get the buttons working again:

     

    Try to re-enable the CRM Client by selecting Help, Disabled Items, select the CRM add-in and select Enable?

     

    If you don't see any options under Disabled Items in help, then try the following:

    1. Select Tools / Trust Center
    2. Select Add-Ins from the Left navigation menu
    3. Select the Go button on the bottom of the window
    4. Uncheck Microsoft Dynamics or check it if it is not checked
    5. Select OK

    If the box was checked and you unchecked it, complete the steps again but check the box.
