  OK, I logged into the live alerts site and verified my new email address with my passport account. It had the wrong one as my alert address despite have set it to something else. Strange to have to go to a separate site to maeke sure replies work, but anywho, I spose it's managing many functions. Should I expect an email alert from this post if I make it myself?

  FWIW, a nice feature would be to show, perhaps with a mouse-over, the alert address next to the "alert me when.." checkbox in the message drafting window. And also to show it in My Profile.
