Error in Debugging a C++ program. RRS feed

    Hello,
    I just installed Visual Studio 2005 on my windows vista laptop and had some compatibility issues. But when i run the troubleshoot process, it showed me like two compatible programs need to be installed from the microsoft website. when i finished installing them. The visual studio started functioning.

    But when i wrote a prog in C++ and tried to debug it , i got an error saying that "The  pathname of the file specified cannot be found". Eg: programname.exe .The exe file of the prog couldn't be found it mean. Due to this I'm able to write my prgram but couldn't run it.

    And it doesn't only appear on one program, it does it for every program i write. Please help me out of this issue.
