Why doen't the MSDN fourms a Web based solution not have a warning message about leaving a post accidentally?

It would be nice to see a warning message about "You're about to leave an active post. Do you want to Stay or Leave?" -- with appropriate buttons invoking the selected action. It can't be that hard to implement.

As this isn't specifically about C#, I think a better place to ask or
make a request might be:

I wouldn't consider this a bug ... just a "nice to have" feature (which really should be an "essential" feature here).
Consequently, a better place to ask the question is the "Suggestions and Feedback" Forum, here:

If you'd like, @DA, I can move this thread there for you, rather than you having to repost it. Let me know ....

Can you move it Bonnie? ASP.NET forums has the feature. There is nothing worst than losing a post, becuase of a click in error and all is lost. It has happened too many times for me and others I suspect.Tuesday, August 28, 2018 5:56 AM -

of hair that accompanied aborted/lost posts when something goes amiss with
the forums editor. So I always compose my posts offline using an ASCII editor
of my choice, and when ready I use Windows clipboard to copy & paste the
post from my editor into the forum editor. After any last minute touch-ups
for italics, bold, or links I submit it.
This also allows me to compose replies gradually, in increments over more
than one sitting, before posting. I also can easily archive copies of my
posts for easy reference and selective reuse.
But I agree that the forums editor should be made more user-friendly and
goof-proof. In addition to "Are you sure?" prompts, saving of partial
drafts while composing and before final posting would provide some
recovery ability in the event of system outages - whether local or remote.
