WHS in a business environment RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can WHS be used in a business environment? I am considering the SOHO (small office home office) and I am wondering if the features of WHS can help better manage a limited number of PCs...

Is thwere any documentation on this subject?

    Regards

    Marius

  • While Windows Home Server isn't being marketed to the SOHO user, Microsoft is aware of the interest in a very small workgroup server, and Windows Home Server can fill that role in a limited way. You should check out Microsoft's WHS web site (particularly the documentation on the support page) to get a better idea of the possible limitations.

  • Hi Marius,

depending on the needs and the size in number of PCs and users it may work. Many people have already made this experience.

But there is no official documentation besides the experiences other users of WHS have made.

So if you have more detailed questions, you can ask them here after having studied the basic functionality and limitations of Windows Home Server and developed your concept based on them.

    Best greetings from Germany
