How Does It Work RRS feed

  • Question

  • In Dynamics CRM all the forms, etc are described in a big xml file which can be modified and the changes uploaded. What is CRM doing after that? Is it generating aspx pages based on this? Or is it dynamically reading that file and generating the webpages in the background? I try to understand the design principle behind Dynamics CRM.

  • After the solution is uploaded the xml files are stored inside the SQL DB. After the CRM Website renders the pages based on the xml (so if for example the xml defines to show 3 fields inside the contact form, the webpage displays these 3 fields)
