  • Question

  • Ok, I think I am going to do the Self-Paced Training instead of attending Computertraining.com. I found the 4 training kits for
    Exam 70-620
    Exam 70-270
    Exam 70-290
    Exam 70-291

My questions are: Will taking these exams give me MCTS, MCP and MCSA certifications? To take the test, I would just contact a testing center and schedule the test? Thanks in advance.

  • Yes, by successfully negotiating the listed exams you will have earned your MCP, MCTS, and MCSA 2003. In order to sit these exams, you will need to locate and schedule the exams through Prometric.

  • Thanks Michael.  What exam would I need for MCSA 2008?

  • Technically there is no MCSA 2008. There is, however, the new generation certification for Windows Server 2008. This is the MCITP: Server Administrator. You can find the info regarding this certification here: https://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcitp/windowsserver/2008/server/default.mspx

  • you have choses the path i am going down 270, 290, 291 and 620.

all i did was buy the MCSE core books bundled with the XP book from amazon http://www.amazon.com/Self-Paced-Training-70-290-70-291-70-293/dp/0735622906/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1232524996&sr=1-11 its cheaper then buying the 3 books you need on their own. and grabbing the vista book separately.

i started my study in november and im already 2 exams down and booking my 3rd shortly.

i wish you the best of luck and keep us informed how you go :)
