Need to change permissions so I can copy files to my IIS directory RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm not sure which forum to submit this question.  I am using IIS on Windows 10 and have a file structure:

    C:\inetpub\wwwroot\MyFolder\MySubfolder

When I copy a file and then paste it into this folder, I'm asked to provide Administrator privileges in order to complete the copy. I just hit the "continue" button and file is duly copied without any password or anything.

However if I'm using FileZilla to access an external web site and I copy a file back to my computer it doesn't get copied, presumably because of a permission problem.

How can I change the permissions of my ./inetpub folder so that I can readily copy stuff backwards and forwards to the other parts of my computer.
