    Hello

    When i want to reinstall Fixit the following message is shown: 

     The installation program get a problem, unattended error occurs, retry later

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/fr-fr/details.aspx?FamilyID=3DB356D3-527E-433F-8C41-5295789EC8FE&displaylang=fr

    so with this url the installation of  Mats_run.aero.exe do not work 

    The program get an error and this utility cannot be installed on this machine

    My system is with Windows 7 and Framework 7 installed

    Looking in the events logged  nothing found related to fixit or mats in

    the windows application section

    Dear Customer,

        Thank you for your interest in Microsoft Fix it Center (beta).  Could you please try this URL downland and install again?  http://support.microsoft.com/mats/aero_effects_not_working/. If you still can't install it, please verify Powershell,MSXML6.0 and framework 3.5 or 4.0 was already correctly install on your OS.  Hope this will helps.  Looking forward to your reply.

    Same problem with this url

    i have reinstalled net framewortk 4

    msxml4.0 already installed (kb954430 an,d kb973688) and shown in installed programs

    i have installed msxml6.0 sp1  parser setup is it the correct one ?

    this one do not appear in the installed programs ?

    i have window 7 64bits.

       Thanks for your posted, Could you please provide me your Fix it install or update event log informations?

                1. Control panel -> Administrative Tools -> Open Event Viewer

                2. Event Viewer -> Windows Logs -> Applications

        After you select this section and please note to source content, if you find any error/warning about "fix it/matsvc" please provide to us.  Looking forwarding to your reply. Thanks.

    hello

    i have tried the following:

    codec.exe,ieperf,maintenance,firewall and security

    every have the same msg:

    'fix it cannot continue an error occured and

    this utility do apply to this pc' 

    STILL nothing found in events logged for fixit

    Dear Customer, 

       I'm sorry for delay. May I know can you seem Fix it install wizard? If so, which wizard UI were you the last to see that when you encounter above your described issue "fix it cannot continue an error occured and this utility do apply to this pc"? Could you please provide me screenshots?

    Hi,

      Thanks for your posted, I've got your provide error image, but I didn't know French language, could you please translation error messages words into English? Further, may I know, can you launch install wizard UI? If so, could you please tell me when this error message will popup? If you like please provide me install wizard UI's photo when this error popup. That will let us find the root cause.     my translation of the message is:

    title: automated services for solutions of microsoft problemes

    then: the resolution of problemes Fix it cannot continue because an error has occured

    then: this utility for resolutions of problemes do not apply at this computer

    I should say this is the only message received after starting and when OK is pressed nothing else appear

    I have some english pbms : what do means with the following texts:

     lauch install wizard UI and install wizard photos

    Hi,

        Thanks for your feedback, above I said 'launch install wizard UI photos' is means that when you install Fix it Center or Troubleshooter application, you will get some wizard window. Through this window you can get which one of steps troubleshooter are running. For example downloading or installing or finalizing. This will help me find that what failed install reason.  If at downloading stage that error encountered, maybe network connection or proxy issue related. If at installing stage that  error encountered, I thinks maybe window the lack of installation conditions[Framework/Powershell/MSXML]. Can you provide to me? Thanks!

    Hello

    in both cases fixit or troubleshooter application the Only panel that is shown is the one i said before

    No other 'wizard window' appears when i try to install any of them

    Hi, 

       Thanks for your posted, Ok, May I know, can you run that above troubleshooters on other PC but use same network?  This question will help me know your network connect  and network proxy setting is correct.

    I'm having the same problem.  I used the Fix-It Center just fine on my old XP laptop, but it won't work on my Windows 7 Professional 64 bit laptop.  So I know it's not the network.

    i do not use proxy , for me my network is ok

    i do have any other pc available

    fixit  center run exe and mats run exe have been previously downloaded

    so i do not understand why you spoke about a network problem

      Thanks for your post, as I know when you install troubleshooter, it will download some files form Microsoft server use http network proxy. If the proxy setting are not set correct or request was blocked.  You can't install troubleshooter also. So we need verify it. Could you please try download other troubleshooter from FISC site? The location at http://support.microsoft.com/fixit/en-us. Looking forward to your reply.

    hi

    as y said previously ANY of MATS_RUN  give the same message:

     the resolution of problemes Fix it cannot continue because an error has occured

    i have run the MiccrosoftFixit5080.msi without any problem,this is the only one working

    I repeat When i try to install FixIt Center i have the following:

    The installation program get a problem, unattended error occurs, retry later

    And still no information logged in the events linked with either fixit center or mats

    Hi le, 

       Could you please try steps below and verify some information

     

        1.  Please try extract MATS_run.XXXXX.exe you can see a file autorun.inf
        2.  According to your OS information and version please got a url named EngineURL, it can download MATSEngine by Manual.
        3.  Open your browser type the download URL in address textbox. Note:"MATSEngine_amdXXX[CULTURE].cab" (remove [CULTURE] by default en-us)  
        4.  After you download finished, please try extract MATSEngine_amd.cab then you can seeing many XXX.dll. 
        5.  Double click MATS_run.XXXXX.exe
        6.  Verify Microsoft Automation troubleshooting service setup window can popup to you.  And click button Accept.
        7.  Start-> run -> type %temp% 
        8.  Verify folder MATS_Run-temp or MATS_Temp or both exist. 
        9.  Copy all files to MATS_Temp or MATS_Run-temp folder and continue run before window.
      
        
         Prerequisite conditions run above steps is not installed Fix it Center Tool. If you installed Fix it Center. Hope it will helps.

    hello

    i have followed your steps

    i have extracted autorun.inf from mats_run....exe

    then i have used the following engineurl  corresponding to my system

     [win7-x64]
    condition=(VersionNT = 601 AND ServicePackLevel >= 0) AND MSIX64
    EngineURL=http://download.microsoft.com/download/4/1/9/4198DB79-969D-401C-8235-198D835FD074/MATSEngine_Win7_amd64.cab

    and i got: matsengine_w7_amd.cab  the files associated with  are

    lts.dll, matswiz.exe and msdcode.dll

    then i have followed step 5 

    the same message occured:

     "the resolution of problemes Fix it cannot continue because an error has occured"

    Hi le,

       Thanks for your feedback. After you execution the step 5, can you seeing the "Microsoft Automated Troubleshooting Service Setup" Window? Or you got the error message directly? 

       Please as following choose your option. 

      1.  You seeing the "Microsoft Automated Troubleshooting Service Setup" window then the error message encountered. 

      2.  You got the error message after you seeing the "Microsoft Automated Troubleshooting Service Setup" window and clicks on the Accept button. No other window can seeing.

      3.  You can't seeing any window when you run mats_run....exe and got error message directly.

    Hi le,

      Can you try go to Control panel->Action Center->run Performance troubleshooter. This is window inbox troubleshooter. If you can run inbox troubleshooter  that I thinks the preparation conditions for run MATS_RunXXX is enough. If you can't may be you need re-install or repair your OS, thanks!

    i don't know what's 'inbox troubleshooter' and where to find it and how to use it with MATS_runXXX

    i would like to why ONLY fixit and mats do not run on my system ,

     all others programs are running fine w/o any problem.

    Hi, 

       Window "inbox-troubleshooter" is Win7 integration troubleshooter, the location at Control panel -> Action center that you can used them. My means is that if you can run work "inbox-troubleshooter" also you can run MATS_run_XXXX.exe, in theory. 

        As far as I know, when MATS_RUN_XXX.exe it need check some preparation conditions.

        1. OS limit is XP sp3

        2. .NET Framework is 2.0 up

        3. MSXML need

        4. PowerShell need

        If your OS pass above list preparation conditions that you can run mats_run_XXX.exe work. Hope this helps. :)
