    I also tryed this

    1. Run an elevated Command Prompt by finding the Command Prompt icon in Start Menu, right-clicking on it and selecting “Run as Administrator”. (You can also type “command prompt” in the search box, right-click the Command Prompt icon and select “Run as Administrator”.) Click "Continue" in the User Account Control (UAC) pop-up if you have UAC turned on.

    2.  In the command prompt window, type the following command and press Enter:

    slmgr.vbs -ipk <insert your product key here>

    3. Then type the following command in the command prompt window and press Enter:

    slmgr.vbs -ato

but after that all i get is this

and it still says its not activated.

i tryed phone activation but no luck there. Now what.

  • Ok well so what you are saying is that i have to re-install vista? i have alot of data on this computer that i need. i currently cant do anything on my PC since my activation time is up? what are my options for installing the new raid drivers?

  • Can you download the beta drivers here?  Note they are 'beta' drivers so they come with no guarantees.

    http://www.siliconimage.com

    http://www.siliconimage.com/docs/3114 x86 r5 15130_beta.zip

    http://www.siliconimage.com/docs/3114 x64 r5 15130_beta.zip

If you're getting the following options, you can click on the second one to open an IE window that you can then use to download the drivers.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    1. Activate Windows online now --> (this will try to activate with whatever key you already have installed)
    2. Buy a new product key online --> (self-explanatory)
    3. Retype your product key --> (this is the same as "Change product key" and will give you the opportunity to enter a new key if you want to activate with a key that's not yet installed)
    4. Show me other ways to activate --> (this is will give you two more options
            a.  Use my modem to connect directly to the activation service
            b. Use the automated phone system
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once you've got them installed I assume you'll still need to reactivate.  Let me know if you run into any snags.  Thanks!
