Cannot Activate Windows 7 RRS feed

  • Hi all, just received a new PC from Cyberpower and found out today that my Windows 7 has not been activated. I grabbed the product key from the side of my PC and entered it into the Activate Windows Now tool but the key comes back as "The product key you have entered does not appear to be valid."

    The Key in the report is a Default (Keyless Install) Key - which cannot be activated.
    I assume that the Key you entered from the sticker is different?
    Please check that you are entering the right characters - there is no 0 or O, for instance (if it looks like one, it's a Q!)  -
    use a magnifying glass and a bright light.
