Question about relationships RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi I created an oppty in an account record (company1)
I went into the opptys relationship screen and added a relationship (called influencer) which linked to another account (Company1).

So now I go to the Company2 record and it seems that there is no way of seeing that this company is involved with an oppty on Company1. The only way I can see that is if I go back to the company1 record.

This seems crazy. I want to look at an account and know ALL the opptys they are actively involved with.

    Thanks

  • You are seeing CRM 'as designed'. Account-Opportunity relationship roles are not visible from the Account. It is very frustrating (addressed in the next version, although that's not very useful to you).

Your options are to use entity relationships to link in the Account or to run a report.

  • Hi,

I assume that in the second line of your question, you actually "Company 2" not "Company 1"?

From the "Company 2" form, you should be able to see all of the associated Opportunity relationships through the "Customer Relationships" section in the left navigation area of the Account form.

This should show you all the information that you are after.

Each time you create a "Relationship" between Accounts/Contacts/Opportunities through the Relationship Roles functionality, you will be able to view these relationships against both associated record forms.

    Thanks,

  • Hi Maryse , you are correct in that the 2nd line should have ended "Company2"

I thought what you said should be the case too. (about seeing it from both sides) But I cannot see the oppty in the "relationships" on Company2
