I want to learn about WTT. How can i get started? RRS feed

    I heard WTT is a powerful tool for testing recently, so i try to understand it .
    but i have got no helpful information from Google result or Bing result and even from MSDN.
    Even now, I don't know what WTT is, what is its full name?
    i am expecting the helpful infor or link.

    WTT is Windows Test Technologies. There is not much information about this. I guess this is some sort of filetype for testing environment, but I could be wrong. Here are two links:

    WTT (Windows Test Tool) is a Test Case Management tool, which is used by Microsoft internally. You can't get any installables or even any screen shots outside Microsoft. It really a very powerfull tool. I've used that tool. I've not seen any other tool such like this in my career.

    Its an internal MS tool used to manage machines , boxes used in testing and other compilation tasks,

    We can remotely access machines and schedule shell script jobs  as per our requirements, this is completely used where we need to manage a bulk of machines made for certain task,

    we can group machines, 

    We can check the status of job running on the machine.

    It was basically Jenkins, except was a bit more challenging to use and not very thoroughly documented.

    It was pushed to be "standardized" throughout most of MS in ~2007 IIRC. Later, they integrated something like it into VSTS/TFS.

    I have complied my MCSC certification last month in Canada from Netsoft.. I am not that sure if they are also providing WTT courses, but as I loved their teaching of technique, will recommend you to contact them... All the best - netsofttrainings.com

    If you want to learn about Windows Testing Technologies, try to get a copy of the Windows Hardware Lab Kit and/or the hardware Certification Kit.   They are available for free on the Microsoft web site.   They are the standard tools to test drivers and hardware for Microsoft.

    HI ,

    The Wtt is a tool used mainly by microsoft ..it is a fully automated environment used to manage/test the deployed code in various PC's with different configurations.
