    I have the original adapter charger that came with the computer and now when i plug into the computer it says cannot recognize adapter. and when the adapter is plugged in it says plugged not charging and when I disconnect the adapter from the computer I have no independent battery life at all. What could be the problem?

    Your battery charger may have failed. I suggest having it checked at a computer repair shop.
