Note that it warns about product and not about version.

  • At what stage are you getting the error?  During installation of CRM?

  • Thanks for your reply,
yes, that was from the log after installation of the CRM server (after rollup update 3).
Is it a version issue, license, maybe a compitablity issue with SQL SERVER 2008?
We used sp1 to the SQL SERVER 2008 before the installation

  • Actually you don't need to install Update Rollups 1 and 2 first. Update Rollup 3 includes all fixes from 1 and 2 as well.

    See http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?kbid=961768

The issues that are resolved in Update Rollup 3 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0

Update Rollup 3 is a cumulative update rollup that includes all the fixes for the issues that are documented in Update Rollup 1 and in Update Rollup 2.

  • You can take a look at this post and see if it helps.  If not, do as Joel recommended and open a ticket with Microsoft Support.  They will be able to resolve the issue quickly.

  • Thanks.
Formerly we contacted MS about this customer and after  being transfered through several long distance phone calls we were informed that this customer did not purchase any support from Microsoft, and if he would like to do so, the payment will be for several cases,  which is very expensive.

The log file (and the former post) do not tell what is the implication of that error, what is related to it and what problems
    are not related to it...

    Thanks a lot anyway.
