Few double entriies in sql forum replies

    Question

  • Just curious, is it a bug that we see double entries for posts in sql forums. Or may be my explorer isn't compatible.

  • Sometimes people post twice because of a variety of reasons.  Sometimes due to a server timeout causing the browser to appear as if the post had not been posted, yet it had been posted.  Then the user reposts, unsure that it was submitted in the first place.  Also, sometimes posts do not show up after posting due to replication issues to other forum servers, and as such a user resubmits.

Post an example URL?   If you're referring to news messages received via an NNTP bridge program that would be a different thing and well understood as a consequence of moderator actions elsewhere on the same forum, e.g. moves of older threads from other forums.
