MOC: Frequent disconnection in VPN connection RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a user who experience frequent status change i.e. Offline to Available while in VPN connection.
VPN still connected when this happen and no issue with other application e.g. access to company intranet, email and etc.

I have collected the UCCPLOG from user but not sure where to look for MOC disconnection and hope someone can give a pointer.

    thank you.

  • That could be an MTU size issue?

Is that on VPN or OCS portion?

Will there be any information which I can see from UCCPLOG on the connection drop?

  • It has been reported that some VPN solutions (IPSec mostly) can interfere with how MOC works in a remote access situtation. Try to connect without the VPN and check if it works for you.

Do let us know if this helps. Thanks.

  • Also check to make sure that there is not any sip filtering or monitoring on the VPN side of things. Cisco SIP fixup protocol causes problems and can be set for just the vpn connection.
