  • Hello ktscon,

I have looked up this key and it has, in deed, been Blocked.  While my tool isn't proving me with a reason for the Block, I notice that the key was sold thru the MS Store.

In your post, you stated that you bought the key from http://www.shoparhive.com, did they sell you a Retail Box (with a Certificate of Authenticity sticker on the box) that contained the Disks and a card with the Prouct Key or did they just sell you the key (and possibly a link to download the software) without a Certificate of Authenticity?

The reason I ask is that there is only one authorized online distributor of Microsoft Windows (i.e a store where you can buy downloadable version of Windows) and that is the Microsoft Store thru their partner Digital River.  If this company bought the key thru the Microsoft Store and then distribute it thru thier own online store, it would sort of make sense their keys were blocked.

    Thank you,

    Darin MS

Post your MGADiag report - I'll lay odds on it being an MSDN key... probably with -067- as part of the Product ID

    I stand corrected!

All you need to do is hit the Copy button once the tool has completed - then Paste it into your response (either r-click the response area here, and select paste, or make sure the focus is in the response area, and hit Ctrl+V). Without the rest of the report I have no idea what's wrong :(

I only needed one copy :)

    The Key is definitely Blocked....
but I can't find a good reason for it specifically.
There also appears to be a Hack installed - which Windows has seen. (makes a pleasant change from MSDN Keys <g>)

So - it appears that you did get one of the many variants of pirate copies - which were 'uncovered' by the WAT update  (KB971033).
Your software is illegal, and insecure!
You need to get legal by uninstalling the hack, and getting a legal key from MS (or elsewhere)
See the Stickies at the top of the index page for your options,

HTH - and sorry I couldn't be the bearer of better news.
